I was checking up on my YouTube messages, invites ect. Then it turns out TAY ZONDAY has added me as a friend. I know he hasnt subscribed or anything big or left me a comment or message. But the fact the great man himself has actually been on my channel is freaky!

If you have been trying to check up on me to find I haven’t posted in a couple of days. But I haven’t been actually able to find the time to get on my computer and sit down and type. Homework and going out with friends have been my main priorities recently. But I hope to get back to schedule like I promised I would.

The weather hasn’t been its best this week, especially on my birthday, but I am still in a good mood! For some reason I am just really happy with things at the moment. Nothings going wrong I guess.

But today I went shopping at Lakeside … Essex’s biggest retail park. Huge in fact. But when you live where I do there is a limited amount of shops to pop into. But it was fun with my Dad. He brought me some clothes which are a bit of an extra birthday present. Grey hoody, a top with a colourful print on it and some grey skinny jeans. So at the moment I am worth around £80 … talk about don’t touch what you cant afford. But I feel I look good and I did say thank you so its all good.

Monday tomorrow – so back at school. First Monday of the new school year as we went back on a Tuesday so shall see what new teachers I have and report back to you.

I seem to have an obsession with my Handycam but who wouldn’t. It is bloody marvelous! I have an urge to take it out where ever I go but school isn’t the best of ideas. So I wont do that. But it is too late to film the video I wanted to do so I shall have to leave it for tomorrow when I get back from school. I will wear my new clothes to show off in though. Coming soon to subscription boxes near you

I’m off now have start some homework .. but I will defiantly post tomorrow

I Gots Myself A Tripod.

So as you’ll all now if you watched my most recent of videos you would have heard I am getting a camcorder for my birthday. So to improve my video steadiness or to just keep in somewhere I can just keep in place I brought a tripod. Now for £10 I am VERY impressed. It came in a box say the length of my arm and when you twiddle a few knobs and bolts then it goes higher and higher. It is basically as tall as me. Perfect height for me making videos.

It’s Not A Hobby It’s Life.

Yeah, YouTube. Ever since I’ve been on YouTube I have been up until stupid o’clock such as 4AM talking to YouTubers. Such as last night/this morning. I was thinking about having any early night when I was trying to find a guest for my group channel InsertFivePeopleHere. A friend of mine referred me to someonewho would be good for the job.

Now we got talking and … talking … and talking … and some more talking. Until 6AM. Now with most people I don’t talk to them 5 hours straight. Especially when it is the first time you’ve spoken to them. She truely is the nicest person I have ever met. Honestly.

YouTube isnt just a hobby. You don’t just make videos for people to watch and moan about. It’s a community. You make friends, you meet them, you create strong relationships with people you wouldnt have met any other way. People say YouTube is “pathetic” and “for losers with no social life”. Well I bet I have more friends than them. You don’t have to go out to the park and play football with them, they’re all right there – on your computer screen.

Behind The Scenes.

So a few people have asked me how I make my videos. So … what a pefect time to tell you how I made the video which brought you to this site! Again … comment the posts, favour the page ect.

To start off with I switch on my Logitech Quickcam and fiddle with the settings till I look just right. Despite the fact I always look good perfect. I press record with a casual click of the mouse and start ranting for 10 minutes. Sometimes I write notes on what I want to say … but most of the time I just let the words flow. Unless I have an inspiration deprevation that is.

After I have finished moaning and groaning. No not doing that … rude people. I put my video file into Sony Vegas 7 and spend a good old hour cutting up the clips and playing with the effects. After watching the video through once or twice … and I am compltley happy with it rendering begins. Basically rendering is time to let you relax from nonstop editing and time to put your feet up with a chocolate biccy and a cuppa tea.

When its rendered it can go up to the big YouTube for the whole world to see.

Then you wait for comments and ratings.

So why dont you make a video too? It is that easy!

Finally!

So I have been on YouTube for just under a year now. With just over 40 videos I have finally reached 600 subscribers. It has only taken just over a month to get a hundred so maybe 700 will be on the horizon?

Thanks to some random YouTube tardis360 for being the 600th! But like most people know I will have only have done a good job on YouTube when I read the number 1000. Not far to go now. My next goal is 800 which I hope to get before Christmas. And especially with my new Sony Handycam coming in a few weeks.

Decisions.

If you plan on reading essays every blog entry then read mine! You have to really thank Dave (musicfromblueskies) for introducing me to this as he was the one who showed me the ropes. If you’ve seen my YouTube channel then you are probably asking why I need to vlog AND blog … well I’m following the trend to be honest!

Just recently the school have given us our options booklet with a long long list of options to take for GCSE. I had a quick flick through and decided in an instant (art, business studies and graphic design) I had to choose something interesting which I actually want to do for the next couple of years.  I have a real passion for art if you haven’t noticed through my videos already. It is something I have never really taken seriously but as adulthood beckons it looks like I can’t just sleep and eat watching tv every free moment I’ve got. But I still haven’t decided what I want to do as a job.  

Ahh decisions …
